Leadership

The principals of RH, David Reiner and John Hay, combine over 60 years of experience in the real estate industry, with involvement in transactions with a value of more than $4 billion. Their experience includes the management of real estate-focused funds, asset acquisitions and dispositions, ground-up development, asset repositioning and repurposing, and asset financing.

David B. Reiner, Principal

David is a Founder and Principal of RH Realty Partners. He is involved in all aspects of RH’s activities including capital markets, investment origination, structuring, financing, and investor reporting and relations.

David’s career includes over 30 years in the real estate investment management business, Federal government (US Treasury), and law practice in Washington, DC. He has held senior executive positions with such firms as Legg Mason, the Grosvenor Group, and Transwestern Property Company. He has been involved in the acquisition, development and redevelopment of billions of dollars’ worth in commercial real estate across most asset classes.

David graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in International Studies and earned a JD degree from the George Mason University School of Law.

John A. Hay, Principal

John is a Founder and Principal of RH Realty Partners. He is involved in all aspects of RH’s activities including development and redevelopment, financing, structuring investments, and sourcing new investment opportunities.

John has over 30 years’ experience in real estate investing, development, and financing across different asset classes. He has extensive experience in the Washington, DC market as well as markets throughout the US. John has held senior positions with Alliance Residential, Lowe Enterprises, CarrAmerica, and KeyBank.

John received a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
